2008 a Last Look

the year went by very very fast.. but that usually is how people feel at this time of the year. i cannot believe that we're done with the year. i'm looking back at my packed moleskin planner with all the dates, notes, homework assignments, work schedules, tours, dinners, and just random notes in it. its amazing that its done and i'm starting my new one in less that 48 hours. its crazy.

2008 highlights
jan: trip back home, vegas with best friend (spa, bouchon)
feb: nights in pittsburgh watching sex and the city and making up random recipes
mar: Carnegie international internship training
apr: night out for visiting djs bottle service
may: life on mars tours, opening gala, nyc for the whitney biennial, jeff koons on met roof
jun: summer in la, summer job at sushi central
jul: fourth of july party hopping, dating, lots of amazing sushi
aug: spa with best friend, back to pa
sep: school stars, job with culinary store, childhood friend's wedding *fly back to la
oct: car payments start.
nov: birthday, light up night in pittsburgh
dec: reflection of the year. preparation for 2009

good things:
  • living through a historic period of American history (president elect obama, recession, real estates/mortgage crisis, credit crisis)
  • tina fey and snl on political satire.

bad things:
  • palin mania
  • long long long election coverage and the media over killing all news

I know i should have more.. but i feel that this year was blur to me.... i hope i make better notes of my popular culture this coming year.. with that i wish you all a great 2009, filled with all the happiness your heart desires.
