so i'm listening to this song by a young rapper called asher roth, called "i love college" and i've read some reviews on it, saying its nonsense... those people who say that didnt go to college. for some reason this song makes me smile as it reminds me of my college experience.. i didnt drink as much as most college students but the feeling of just chilling with my friends at a party, listening some random mix, red solo cups, ping pong balls, short skirted girls, over cologned frat boys is all good memories for me. yes that's the typical experience on top of going to class in flip flops.
I'm sitting in my room writing the last papers of my college career. i graduate next Saturday with my degrees in history and art history. it took me about 5.5 years and 3000 miles, snow and Pittsburgh to get my act right. I'm finally done and its a bit surreal. i keep writing about this moment, i didn't know that it would be SO important to me but now when i think about it it makes me sad and proud all at the same time...
I've grown so much since my freshmen of college. i partied till i threw up, made out with random guys, crushed on some professors (might have seduced some in my day dreams), played beer pong, studied all night, wrote papers half hour before class, took way too many shots, showed a bit too much skin... fell in love, had my heart broken, failed a class, fell asleep in class..college was insane... and i wouldn't take any moment back. it was definitely an experience that will be part of me for the rest of my life. i enjoyed it and am ready for the next step.
feels good to be done. i love college but cant live like this forever although it is tempting.. i need to take myself seriously now.. of course i'll still be fun i mean i did go to college that they sing about..
shalom.
